Continuation of Last Post

Here's the video of Georgia that I mentioned in my last post.  Apparently, I can't post more than 1 video per/post.  Or I'm technically challenged....

Santa Monica Crew: Update

Hi All-
It's Eileen.  Sorry we haven't posted yet (it's only been 2 1/2 months of silence...) We've been busy with everything and nothing.

We'll start with the more appealing news.  Everett just started violin lessons and he really likes it.  I've attached a video of his first lesson. His lessons are every Monday, so we'll go again this afternoon for this third lesson.  The violin that we'll hopefully get today is 1/8 the size of a regular violin (made especially for tots like E-man.) The violin you see in the video is 1/4 the size, which is why he's holding it a little awkwardly.  Its pretty cute to see him play!!!

Georgia has blossomed into a full fledged MANIAC.  Screaming, yelling, hitting and biting are her hobbies.  She's also trying to keep up with Everett. So she thinks she can ride his scooter...so we had to buy her a helmet that she insists on wearing all the time.... Attached is a video of her too..

For the boring stuff, Duncan and I are holding down the fort here in Santa Monica - nothing exciting to report.  Although, Duncan did finish a 60 mile bike race 2 weekends ago in Napa.  Should of taken a pic of him getting off his bike - looked like he was going to puke and faint at the same time.  BUT HE FINISHED IT!!!!

I think that's it for now.  Will try to update this regularly.  MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE.  We'll see you in almost a month!!!!  Let us know if there's something you miss from here that we can bring to you.

Baseline Post

Hello family:  Since we hang on your every word from abroad, we thought that perhaps we might reciprocate.  So here is the first post in a blog intended to keep you up to date on the lives of those of us who languish at home.  We'll try to throw in a few photos as we go along, as well.  But first I need to learn how to drop them in.

The news of the moment is minimal.  I just returned from a great walk on the very windy beach:  Cayucos to the outcropping toward Morro Rock.  Glorious sun and very cool breeze.  No pictures.  Sorry.  Next time.

Food is pouring in the door.  The garden is in full swing--with corn!  Yum.   And tomatoes just around the corner.  Two branches broke in the pear tree under the weight of the fruit.  Need to thin.  And--the biggest news--after making a serious mess of my bee hive--honey and comb all over the place--I went on the web and learned all about what's in the hive.  Then I went back and harvested a couple of quarts of very brown, tasty honey.  My first harvest.  Need to get pictures for that, too.

Duncan and family were up for a visit this last weekend.  Everett is having a ball driving the tractor.  He and Gramps hit a tree with the roll bar--made a pretty load "crrraaacckk" and the tree suffered, but not the tractor.  Georgia is cruising.....

We all have our flights to visit you booked.  Can't wait.  Love you all.  We miss you and love all the reports of your adventures--which seem quite adventurous at the moment.    much, much love bippy
